The Useful Study of Plankton by Sangmyung University Ki Jang-Seu Team

The Ki Jang-Seu research team at Sangmyung University has been recognized worldwide for its beneficial research. In particular, the research is so very meaningful that it is a study that our school can be proud of and can have a good impact on the world.
A research team led by Professor Ki Jang-Seu of the Department of Biotechnology in the Convergence Engineering College of Science and Technology has identified the world's first transcriptomics of toxin synthesis genes in plankton. In particular, the study was published in the March issue of the world-renowned journal “Harmful Algae” and was recognized worldwide. The study is the world's first known study, so it is a proud achievement for our school. In addition, the research will have a good effect on expectation that it will lead to safe distribution of marine products, national health and increased income for fishermen.
