무대 위에서의 배우는 무엇을(what), 왜(why), 어떻게(how) 움직여야 하는가에 대한 인식과 이해가 절실히 필요하다. 따라서 다양한 몸짓의 특징적 동작을 습득하고, 움직임의 리듬감과 창조성, 그리고 근육을 이용하여 몸짓을 극대화 시키는 훈련을 지도한다. 뿐만 아니라 몸짓과 행위를 구분하여 신체를 효과적으로 정확히 움직이는 방법을 인식할 수 있게 하며, 다양한 동작어휘의 접근을 통해 동작응용력을 집중 지도한다.
